When a washroom detection system
is used to save water, such as an Infra red detector or pressure drop detector then
in the event that the toilets are used regularly during the day, even
at their most efficient, it is likely that they are flushing every 20
minutes during occupancy of the washroom, possibly 9 hours a day.
Over a 7 day period
(5 working days) and including hygiene flushes the old style water managers
will be flushing 149 times a week compared to the UC2 water manager
flushing just 28
times. On a 10 litre urinal flush this would save a massive 1,210 litres per
week and 62,920 litres per year.
The old style water managers are fiddly to set and maintain and by
changing to
the Tri-[Odour]-Trap
and UC2 system within the washroom could easily lead to
saving water
by hundreds of thousands
of litres of per year.
